Khao San road is filled with cheap bars and cafes, bars with pool tables and big screens showing live sport, bars with live music, and a couple of clubs for those who want to dance. Generally speaking, Khao San road is the place of choice for backpackers and those on a budget. It is mainly filled with tourists, but locals also enjoy a night out in this part of town.

Sukhumvit road is where the large sports pubs, girlie bar soi’s, trendy bars and nightclubs can be found. A little bit of everything can be found in Sukhumvit and it is a great place to go just to walk around until you find something you like.

Royal City Avenue (RCA) is a long street lined with a number of bars and clubs. This area attracts a predominantly Thai crowd of wealthy early twenty something’s and students. Some tourists are found here, and it is definitely a place to check out. The clubs are modern, stylish, have great sound systems and attract top DJ’s like Tiesto and Paul Van Dyk.

Girlie Bars don't really need an introduction. If you're looking for some fun, then these are the places to be.
